Thank you for your interest in Bober Blades. My name is Kyle Bober and I’m proud to introduce you to my handmade knives.
Ever since I was a little kid I have been enamored with making gidgets and gadgets. This turned into a passion and led me to pursue a career in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Sciences. I have always collected knives and am intrigued to see how many talented makers there are in the world. In 2014 I started making fidget spinners and hand-made precision spinning tops (@wickedpockettops). The ever-growing need for EDC has morphed my desire to make knives. Starting with fixed blades, for friends and family was the beginning. However, fixed blades weren’t fulfilling my desire for design and mechanics. I had to challenge myself by designing and building a folding knife. 2 years later and a lot of trial and error the TRB came to life.
I look at my knives as functional art as I do the spinning tops I make. Anyone who knows me from my tops can account for the attention to detail I use when making something. I won’t settle for the quality it needs to be just right.
I still have a lot to learn but that’s what makes this journey so intriguing. The never-ending need to learn more, make better products, and innovate if and when possible.
